If you are arriving from outside Hamburg, please get off at the central station in Hamburg-Dammtor. If your train is only going to Hamburg Central Station, please take the S-Bahn line S11, S21 or S31 (direction Blankenese, Elbgaustraße or Altona) at the tunnel platform and drive one stop to Dammtor.

From there you can walk to the main building of the University of Hamburg (venue) in about 10 minutes on foot from the Dammtorbahnhof. The main building is in visible proximity to the Dammtorbahnhof.

By S-Bahn from the airport

First, take the S-Bahn line S1 directly from the airport terminal to the main station. At the same platform, take the opposite train to S11, S21 or S31 (in the direction of Blankenese, Elbgaustraße or Altona) and travel one stop to the Dammtor stop.

From there you can walk to the main building of the University of Hamburg (venue) in about 10 minutes on foot from the Dammtorbahnhof. The main building is in visible proximity to the Dammtorbahnhof.

By taxi from the airport

There are taxi lanes in front of the terminals. A taxi will take you to the university campus in just 30 minutes.

If you go by car to Hamburg, it is best to take the following highways and exits:

A23 from the north-west
At the junction HH-Nord on the A7 direction Bremen, then exit HH-Volkspark

A7 from the north
Exit HH-Volkspark

A1 from the north-east
At the cross HH-Ost on the A24 direction HH-Centrum, then exit HH-Horn

A24 from the east
Exit HH-Horn

A250 / A255 from the southeast
Direction new Elbbrücken, then direction HH-Centrum

A7 from the south
Am Horster Dreieck auf die A1, Richtung neue Elbbrücken / HH-Centrum

A1 from the southwest
At Buchholzer Dreieck direction Flensburg, then on A7 exit HH-Volkspark

Then follow the signs “Messe / CCH or Centrum

Unfortunately there is no parking at the university. Please use as much public transport as possible.

It is possible to use the parking garage of the Hotel Grand Elysee or the Congress Centrum Hamburg (CCH). Parking is available for a fee (without guarantee). From both parking garages to the conference venue it is about 10 minutes on foot.. Please note the current construction work at CCH. Due to this, parking restrictions may apply here.
